Picture Update

Hey everybody, Jordan here, and Kellee has put me in charge of putting up the pictures from the past couple of weeks, and since I'm no good at blogging there will be no cool background designs, fade away pictures, interesting links or brain tickling ideas. I know what you're thinking, how could I go against everything that is "bloggerific?!" Well I am, so deal with it! And I just want to reiterate that I am no where near as creative as my better half. So here we go.

Over the past month Kellee and I have had some awesome adventures! First off, we made our first official road trip together, we left Oklahoma Saturday afternoon and made our way to Cedar City Utah to pay a visit to my family, in preparation for our road trip we made an investment into a Garmin GPS, great idea in theory...I'll explain later. So, after 21 hours of driving we finally made it to my Dad's early Sunday morning where Dad showed us to a great time with a BBQ, some backyard fun, and very cool plane ride! Now, if you've ever met my Dad he is a get in there and learn it kind of guy, but even knowing that I must say that I got a little nervous when Dad leaned over and said to me "take over". After about ten minutes of me flying and us not dying, Trae started to take notice, and if you know Trae then you know he loves to "drive" anything. so he started fighting to get in the front seat with Dad and I, so Kellee let him up and as he was sitting there being the awesome little boy that he is, Dad took his hands off the controls and let Trae take over...Yes our 18 month old has officially flown an airplane! I smell a future "most interesting man alive" in the making...except without the beer.

Anyway, after a few days with Dad we made our way North to see Grandma and Grandpa, where Trae's love of driving was further exposed as Grandpa took him driving on the 4-wheeler, and after about 15 rides over 24 hours Trae was still very sad to leave his new favorite machine. Continuing North we met up with Kellee's sisters and had a moment to reminisce about the good ole days of Rexburg by eating at the Pizza Pie Cafe (formerly Craigos) After that we were lucky enough to listen in on my cousin Spencer finding out about his mission call to the California Arcadia mission (congratulations buddy!!) and then we met up with Mom to have an awesome Italian dinner and an incredible day on Temple square! It was an awesome trip but like all trips, it came to an end and we had to make our way back to the great state of Oklahoma.

This is where it got really interesting! We found ourselves stuck in stand still traffic with no end in sight, so being the genius that I am, I decided to look up detours on our new GPS, after a few try's and no options being given, I used the GPS to find a side road, great idea right? Well this side road quickly became a dirt road and then a trail and then a wide open field with a barbed wire fence. Feeling flustered I decided to forge on, we found a section of the fence that was torn down, so we laid the floor mats over the barbed wire and kept going, only to be stopped by another fence with no way around it, so we made our way back through the bumpiest, roughest, most pioneer-like road I have ever been on. And just as luck would have it traffic started moving the moment we got back to the highway (what a waste of 2 hours!). We made it back to Oklahoma safe and sound the next day with a lot of great memories made along the way.

Further down I've posted some pictures of mine and Kellee's gift to each other for Mother's and Father's day, a trip to Frontier City and front row tickets to see Season 8's American Idol winner Kris Allen. It was a freakin' awesome day with the my best friend! Life is an adventure meant to be experienced and I'm glad I get to share that with you Kellee. I love you! Please don't yell at me for writing such a long post :)

Dudes, and I mean this in the most sisterly sense - is that y'all's default photo together? I mean, I could easily replace Kris Allen in the background with one of the Redhawks!
