Dear Mrs. Bailey J. Taylor,
May this be the recipe that christens your Kitchen Aid.
I make it often. Okay, a lot! It is easy and only takes about 2 1/2 hours for 2 loaves of amazing bread!!!
TC is a master helper and assists me every time it is made. And I have to make bread every other day almost because it is that good and we go through it that fast. May Bullet (what I think you should call your kitchen aid) and the rest of the Taylors (the ones that will be added, of course, oh and soon. My kids need friends their own age) enjoy.
xo,
kellee
p.s. this is the only reason I like 12:30 church because I can bake it before church and then for dinner with friends say "yes I actually made it this morning" SO 1950's of me.
Wareham White Bread
(this recipe was taken and adapted.
So no, it is not some pioneer recipe handed down.
Just me)
2 cps. HOT water
1 1/2 Tbs. Active Dry Yeast
1/2 cup. Sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 cup. Oil
6 cps. Flour
In your bowl add water, yeast and sugar. Let sit until a foam begins to form on top.
Add salt and oil. Mix with the hook for 30 sec.
Add 2 cups of flour and mix on level 2.
Add the rest of the flour 1 cup at a time on level 1.
Any faster and it will be a mess.
(just ask my assistant)
Once all the flour is added place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel and let it sit in your oven (or microwave, it's out of hands reach there) for 1 hour!
After the hour is up roll out your dough and form into 2 bread loaves.
Or make lots of little loaves.
Or even rolls! YUMMY
Once you shaped your dough into the form you desire let rest.
For a loaf give it 30 minutes.
for rolls about 15-20.
Bake in a lightly greased pan for 30 minutes @ 350
(or 15-20 for rolls)
Let it cool down a bit before you cut. And if you can use a cooling rack.
We like to spread butter and homemade jelly on our bread, but butter is just as YUMMY!
This bread goes great with any meal.
Best with Pot Roast (think gravy) and Lasagna.
xo, Kellee
p.s. it makes great sandwiches (oh and a mean panini)

Thank you! I can't wait to try it out! It will be the second thing I make in my KitchenAid (name is still undecided but your suggestion has been put into the box) since I am, as we speak, making cookies for our first FHE as husband and wife at home! I love you!
