I really miss the Farmers Market!!!
It was my weekly Saturday ritual.
The market opens at 8am and I was usually always there no later then 8:30
If you came for a visit to my home over the weekend I would take you with me.
There is not only wonderful fruits and veggies,
but the kindest people
ready to help you find out why the birds overly love your own garden.
I like to get there before the crowds come.
The people who come because it is just now cool to be "green"
they are the ones walking around with coffees in hand
and a scowl about the smells (alot of the farmers uses their animal trailers)
I am there usually in the shirt I wore to bed and jeans or shorts wearing flip flops.
Trae is my apprentice
He LOVES to smell the fruits and veggies with me
He also has to pet every single dog we encounter
One of the best parts about the Market is that just across the parking lot is
The OSU Demonstration Gardens
They helped with the Wareham garden many times
But Trae gets to just walk around and look at all the beautiful different gardens
He even gets to pick a berry or two to eat.
I miss the Market
It is only from April until the last Saturday in October.
Our Saturdays seem empty without them.
We await your speedy return Dear Farmers Market!
love,
K, T and sometimes J
Thrusday:
We had a dark and light leafed salad and a pizza with everything
Fridays:
Jordan had a work Christmas party and went to Mexican,
But Trae and I had a salad (T eats salad. is that weird?) and left over Mac'n'Cheese
Saturday:
To make up for all the bad breakfast was- applesauce (with baby cereal for T; he likes it that way) and scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese.
Oh and TC had a pumpkin cookie because he ate SO well and he asked so nicely
(which means saying please and thank you with out my having to ask :))
And that concludes what we ate this week.

I have only been to the Farmers Market a few times and it's super cool! I love how "green" you are..it makes me want to do it more!
You are making me feel like my Saturdays are empty without the farmers market as well. I keep having to remind myself that we didn't go to the market so I am not really missing it. :)
So, I hear you have these awesome sweet potato pancakes. Do tell?
PS - the word verification is "regerg". I think you should be offended, because your post sounded positively yummy to me.
