It feels like deja vu right now. Kinda. Then again not really. Okay yeah it does.
I remember the beginning of a certain december where I knew I had to work only for one more week and I could go on Mat. leave. and just be at home a readying our lives for a bouncing baby boy. (Expect that I did apartment clean checks like 2 weeks later for 3 days. Totaling 36hrs. $$$$)
I remember hardly sleeping, yet napping all.the.time!
Taking super hot baths to keep warm.
Not leaving the house because who really wants to wear a bra all day and put on pants that aren't from the pajama section of the store?
It is very different now though. I don't get to go on leave. I am a housewife and we never go on vacation.
I try and nap, but the baby keeps me up because he has decided to not sleep. EVER. And that my friends is going to change when he and I have a come to jesus in a couple weeks.
But the biggest difference is obviously my bouncing, climbing, running almost 3 year old. He needs to go out. He needs his mommy to get ready (showered, dressed, made up) and take him on an adventure. Luckily there is a playground right by our house.
(when I say "by" I mean like our fence tells park goers that this is not the park anymore)
We also don't have Dish so I don't just lay in bed all day pretending I'm on bed rest like I did 3 years ago. Nope we watch a 20 minutes of a movie right before nap and maybe donald duck on YouTube is mommy needs a minute.
Yeah I've been here before. Early December, readying the home for a bouncing baby boy. But this time I have a little helper, who has more then enough energy for the both of us. And I couldn't be more grateful!!!
Just waiting.
And just so everyone knows those darned baby legs are going to be the death of me. Or my sewing machine, but let me say this I think I am about to give up on all baby crafts until after the baby is born. That way I can use my Mom's machine and she can hold my baby while I work away with my assistant (TC Wareham) by my side playing with the measuring tape.
xo,
kellee
This was our first family camp out way back in April!!!
